Our Sentinel Service Dogs are the service dogs that are produced from our flagship Sentinel Dog Program which provides different kinds of dogs including: service/assistance dogs, therapy dogs, & facility dogs. If you are not sure what the difference is between these different types of working dogs, you are not alone! We are here to help you learn more about what dogs have to offer and what you might be looking for!
Do you or someone you love have a disability that you hope a dog can assist directly with aside from bringing comfort and companionship? Then you might be looking for a Service Dog! Check out our FAQ page for some more helpful information. If you are a First Responder looking for more information about bringing a dog into your Department, please contact us directly.

So what sets our Program apart? Here’s a few things you need to know:
- We work off a Federal Grant and generally only have the funding to provide to provide Service Dogs to Veterans although we will always help advise ANYONE who has questions.
- Our services are FREE for Veterans.
- Only Requirements to qualify for our Program are your DD-214 and a Doctor’s note recommending a Service Dog may help with your disability.
- Our Program is very unique in that we offer FREE in-house therapy to complement our dog training and placement process.
- If you have a dog already, we will evaluate it and train it IF IT SHOWS APTITUDE to become a Service Dog for you.
- We provide annual recertification and followup training and support as needed.
- We are always here for you and your dog, our local network of volunteers and staff won’t let you down!
